Water-based cleaning machines

When does the detergent have to be changed?

Detergents should be changed as soon as the cleaning result turns out to be noticeably bad or when the solution is visibly dirty or spent. Mostly it is not necessary to change the detergent after every cleaning cycle.

Is it permitted to drain the waste solutions of aqueous systems into the general drain and/or canal systems?

This depends on the solution used and concentration. Your local or national water regulation authority will have to be consulted. Generally the solution would have to be filtered, any oils would have to be removed and the PH level neutralised.

Why are detergents needed for cleaning?

Soilings adhere to the parts. If that were not the case, they would be easy to remove. The purpose of the detergent is to break down the bonds between parts and their soilings. Water alone has little cleaning properties. The primary purpose of the ultrasonic activity is to assist the solution in doing its job.

What cleaning solution should I use?

Modern ultrasonic cleaning solutions are blended from a variety of detergents, wetting agents and other reactive components. A large number of excellent formulations from different suppliers are available designed for specific applications. Correct selection is crucial for acceptable cleaning activity and to avoid undesirable activity or attack to the base material being cleaned. An Amsonic sales engineer can help you to choose the best solution for your job and can arrange for laboratory trials in most cases.
